Gyros are good, but sitting virtually on the main road is not so great. There is seating on the opposite side of the road under the trees, but on a hot day the shade is probably not quite adequate. Well worth a visit though.
Excellent local pita with pork gyros, chicken souvlaki. The meat was fresh and tender. Beautiful view on the mountains. Good price too.
One of the highlights of our time in Kardamili. Amazing souvlaki and lovely staff. Full of locals which says it all. Many have already said it, but definitely pay the extra for the local pitta. Incredible
Good food at a good price. The staff were nice and friendly. Highly recommended.
Chanced upon Babis on our first night in Kardamyli. We are a family of 4 and ate here for €53 - that was for 4 meals and 4 drinks. We sat in the square, under the shade of the trees. Yes it's next to the road, but the cars really didn't detract from the location, which, as the sun went down and the lights went up, was lovely. The food here was great, massive portions for the price. Can't fault anything here, even the music that was on repeat!
Very delicious food. We stopped here on our way to Kalamata for some gyros. It’s the first time we see “local pita” as option on the menu, in Greece. My partner loved it so much he decided to take a second one to go.
We visited in February and it was the only place open in the evening serving local food. As my star rating this is a straight 5 star place Babis and his crew are outstanding hosts and I as for my experience they served the best souvlaki we had in the whole of Peloponnese and Athens by far! We also had the best pork loin chop there - on the bone tomahawk style super tender and juicy grilled to perfection. The ingredients were super fresh and prepared with skill you can taste that from the first bite. If you are in Kardamyli and hungry... you got to visit!
Had an incredible chicken souvlaki main course here, really tasty souvlaki, chips and tzastiki! I'm also coeliac, and the guys working here were really careful checking every ingredient (after reading my Greek gluten free card!) and were really considerate!
